About Ama
Ama attended her first 10 day Vipassana Meditation course in 2015, which pushed her to embark on a personal life path of mindfulness and meditation. In 2020 she completed her Masters in Education in Mindfulness for Educators through Antioch University, New England and has been infusing her language classrooms of middle & high schoolers with mindfulness practices ever since.
She has been a Spanish Language & Culture teacher for the past 16 years. In April 2022, she completed her Integrative Coaching and Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher training certifications through the School of Positive Transformation. Ama is eager to help adults & teens find ways to feel more alive, empowered, and focused, navigating obstacles like anxiety with compassion & techniques to improve quality of life.
She has traveled/lived in over 25 countries. Originally born in southern California, she spent most of her young adult life in Boise, Idaho. She spent the past 17 years in WA State, mostly on the San Juan Island, and currently resides in Bend, Oregon. Ama loves everything outdoors and spends her free time open water swimming, paddle boarding, biking, skiing, running & exploring the world.Â
